Rainy Days In Ocean City, New Jersey

Rainy Days In Ocean City, New JerseyRain on your vacation. It is an unfortunate event all of us have experienced at one time.  When you are at the beach in Ocean City though, the fun does not have to stop, just because of the weather.  From the casinos in Atlantic City (about a 20 minute drive), to the many events happening at the Music Pier on the Ocean City Boardwalk, there is always something to do, to help create your own sunshine!

Below we have put together few of our favorite rainy day activities in Ocean City:

Music Pier
Built in 1928, the Ocean City Music Pier continues to be home to many types of shows and entertainment; from the Ocean City Pops orchestra, to the Miss New Jersey pageants, the pier has events scheduled throughout the year. Be sure to check the online ticket box for all upcoming events!

Atlantic City Casinos
Looking to try your luck?  The trip from OC to AC is a hop, skip and a jump!  A family beach town atmosphere just minutes away from the slots, card tables and casino style entertainment; can it get any better?

The Boardwalk
Wait, are you kidding?  Walking the Ocean City Boardwalk “in the rain”?  Don’t knock it until you try it!  Our many local Ocean City stores are sure to help you find the perfect mementos and gifts for those back at home.  And rest assured that the restaurants on the boards will be waiting to serve you and your family.  Lastly, don’t forget the salt water taffy and fudge!

Cape May County Zoo
For those overcast days where lounging on the beach just won’t cut it, why not take the family to the the zoo!  That’s right, a zoo at the Jersey Shore!  And better yet, it’s free (they do ask for a small donation of your choosing, should you be so inclined).  From the tiny monkeys, snakes and reptiles, to the antelope and girrafes, the Cape May County Zoo is home to many types of animals. With food stands and gift shops added in for good measure!
