Pavilion has all the amenties to meet your needs from hotel rooms to apartments

About Us

The Pavilion Motor Lodge is located on 8th Street and Atlantic Avenue in Ocean CIty, New Jersey. At this end of the island, Atlantic Avenue is the closest street to the ocean.

There are NO streets to cross to the boardwalk and beach. The main building with the pool in the center of our beautiful garden is a 4-minute stroll to the boardwalk.

As you walk from the hotel, you pass only parking areas. If you look directly at the boardwalk from the Pavilion Motor Lodge, you will see the Music Pier to the right on the Moorlyn Terrace side of 8th Street. Looking to your left you will see the Water Park at 7th Street and at 6th Street the Wonderland Pier Amusements. Surfing enthusiasts need only to walk to 7th Street Beach for surfing lessons or surfing events.

What Our Guest are Saying

Clean and great location

It's not really fancy but it is clean and a great value. The location is great and I like how the rooms have a mini fridge. The pool area is small but nice and the staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Clean, Friendly, and Convenient

Whenever I have the chance to sneak away to OC, and it's usually with short notice, I stay at the Pavilion. No, it isn't a luxury hotel or guest house, and it is dated, but it is clean and functional and the staff is friendly and professional. It's close to the beach and boardwalk, but also is a short walk to some good restaurants that aren't on the boardwalk [a steady diet of fried bw food is not recommended for anyone]. I never even consider staying anywhere else.

For those who need something more elegant, or who lament that they need a tape measure to enjoy a room, I would also point out that there are a lot of horrid places to stay in OC that cost more and aren't blessed with a friendly staff.

fantastic location, rest is average

Many other reviewers have said basically the same thing. It was clean but very small. Did look as if it had new carpet and maybe fresh paint but otherwise it was a typical motel room. Had a small fridge and flat screen tv but the AC unit was literally right next to my bed. Like didn't need to stretch to touch it. Bathroom is also very small. Since the weather was pretty good we didn't need to spend much time in it. I reserved the Fountain View since it was the cheapest. Longer walk to the boardwalk and no elevator but they are upfront about that. Did not use the pool but it and the lounge area around it also looked small. Can't imagine what it must be like in-season. But as I said it was reasonable and clean. Basically, all I was looking for so no complaints and you couldn't beat the location to the boardwalk and beach. Parking is super convenient also.

Great location and price!

We stayed in 810 the efficiency. We found out there was a connecting room and rented that as well. The room was very clean and you couldnt ask for a better location at that price! It was great.

Great location, good shore vibe!

Stayed on bottom level poolside room for midweek October getaway. Room was very clean with flatscreen tv and small fridge. Staff helpful and lots of coupon and informational brochures for restaurants and activities. This is NOT a chain hotel. It is a typical beachside motel with that shore vibe that may take a minute for some to appreciate. The location cannot be beat!

Room Tip: Poolside rooms may be a bit loud. For a quieter room choose the fountain view area.

Location, Location, Location

It is your typical old O.C. hotel, although they have painted and changed the fixtures in the bathroom and there is a nice flat screen TV. The air conditioner appeared to be brand new and was pretty quiet. The restaurant is on the first floor and you can get food to go and take it to your room or they will deliver it. Had their breakfast a couple of times, wasn't bad for the price and plenty of food, nice and hot, usually took 10 minutes. The pool is heated, but didn't have time to use it. The hotel is only one block from the center of the boardwalk. Beds were comfortable. No frills. Close your bathroom door at night, cuts down on the street noise, especially in the AM. Can be a bit noisy but had a great time being so close to the beach. Went up to the third floor in the AM and could watch dolphins with binoculars.

Perfectly Charming

I've been vacationing in Ocean City since I was a kid usually in a weekly rental. We decided at the last minute to spend Labor Day Weekend at the shore and booked a room here. I was most pleasantly surprised by the motel. The room was clean and perfectly suited for our weekend getaway.... a short walk to the beach and boardwalk and most places we wanted to eat. The rooms are typical shore motel fare but I found it really charming. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean as a pin. The pool was inviting and the patio area was a great place to eat or relax. It was quiet at night and early morning. From our third floor balcony we could see the giant ferris wheel on the boardwalk and the ocean. I can't complain about anything! I would return in a heartbeat.

Second Time at Lodge and it was good

It was a good beach motel. Had a great room. It was kept clean by staff. Had issues upon arrival with broken fridge plug but it was fixed right away. The Fresco restaurant at motel was a nice place to eat. Parking was tough at first visit a few years back and was an issue at arrival again, but this time we were able to get a spot in lot across street. I would go back again next visit.

Very willing to accomodate the needs of our family.

We just returned home from our quick weekend away with our four boys. We were there to attend a wedding in OCNJ and The Pavillon provided us with wonderful accomodations in Apartment 117. While there were a few minor repairs needed in the bathroom shower stall, which we let the desk know about, we were 100 percent thrilled with the apartment. Clean kitchen, lovely hardwood floors in the dinning room space and living room, comfortable beds. Two boys slept on the sleeper sofa and it did have the typical thin mattress, but they were happy nonetheless. We hope to return to stay a week next year. Thank you!
